After years of super skinny patterns, jeans finally become more comfortable: legs are wider, waist is higher, hem is rolled up and denim is ripped, faded, irreparably spotted by paint and varnish.
Jeans want to claim their real, poor origin as sailors’ uniform but become glamorous with paillettes, studs, precious embroideries, creating cool outfits for day and night, season after season. Look at my post to understand how to wear them!
Probably many girls won’t give up their skinny pants, but boyfriend jeans are certainly trendy, boysh and more comfortable. The hem is really short now: the only problem could be the cold weather during the winter, because you shouldn’t wear socks.
Comfortable doesn’t mean shabby but fascinating contrast that catches eye, wearing vertiginous heels, embroidered T-shirts and sweaters, perfect make-up and hit bags.
On the other hand, boyfriend jeans are “ok” just for very slim girls, because they shorten and widen your shilouette. I’m not tall therefore I wear jeans exclusively without outwears because with padded jackets I’d look like a “snowman!”. I prefer wearing denim shorts anyway even during Winter.
Which is the best color with jeans? It’s impossible making mistakes with denim! You can choose many kinds of colors.
Jeans are a must have for this summer and I believe they are perfect with lemon yellow, pastel pink and nude, wearing tops, blouses and the classic over size T-shirt.
My favorite outfit is that with yellow accessories: boyfriend jeans are more ladylike with lemon yellow Roger Vivier ballet flats with maxi buckle and with Jimmy Choo leather hobo bag.
It’s funny Rag&Bone marl grey Disney T-shirt with Miki Mouse, which is completed by Mango black leather belt with golden buckle and Givenchy super rouge lipstick.
If you love pink probably you’ll choose the second outfit with the same faded jeans but with pastel pink cotton jersey Uniqlo T-shirt and Mansur Gavriel candy pink leather bucket bag. Another must have you can wear with this outfit are Red Valentino pale blue slingback leather pumps. It’s ladylike but easy! Do you agree?
If you instead prefer a more classic look you can combine your boyfriend jeans with H&M nude sleeveless blouse with frills, Tod’s patent leather fringed loafers, Gucci taupe leather belt and Prada saffiano leather totebag.
Therefore you can choose funny prints and trendy colors or more classic outfits using simply your boyfriend jeans: they can be perfect for the office, shopping with friends and holidays! But only if you are slim enough to wear them!
